The H.O. Wedge systems with W3v3 series subwoofers are built to perform at serious output levels. They deliver bass that will impress you not only with its sheer level — but also with its smoothness, balance and precision.

CHAMBER-COUPLED PORTED ENCLOSURE

In contrast to a sealed enclosure, the H.O. Wedge design uses a tuned port or opening to equalize pressure between the inside and outside of the speaker. Coupling the port output to the woofer's direct output gives freer airflow, so lower frequencies can travel using less power to drive the speaker.

SIMPLIFIED INSTALLATION

The H.O. Wedge subwoofer system comes wired, loaded and ready to connect via a 5-way binding post terminal. For added protection, the sturdy MDF enclosure is finished in high-grade automotive carpet with “JL AUDIO” embroidered in silver on the top surface.

On a wide range of car audio applications, the W3v3 series subwoofers deliver superb sound when powered by an amplifier in the 150- to 500-watt range.

Proprietary motor, suspension and cone modeling systems are used to achieve long, linear excursion capabilities with low distortion and powerful sound output.

CUSTOMIZABLE TRIM RING

This removable ring can be painted to match the installation theme and directly receives JL Audio grille mesh inserts (sold separately).

ELEVATED FRAME COOLING™ TECHNOLOGY

This patented frame cooling design creates a pathway for high-velocity air to flow directly across the top plate of the speaker voice coil — cooling it for better power handling and improved reliability.

ENGINEERED
LEAD-WIRE SYSTEM

Carefully engineered lead-wire design and attachments ensure controlled, quiet lead-wire behavior under the most extreme excursion demands.

FCAM™ TECHNOLOGY

This “floating cone attach method” of bonding the surround/cone assembly to the voice coil former/spider structure ensures proper surround geometry in the assembled speaker for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment.

VENTED REINFORCEMENT COLLAR

The VRC™ collar design from JL Audio improves the rigidity and stability of the cone/spider/voice coil junction and directs airflow over the voice coil windings for improved thermal performance.
